The new owner and chef at Trattoria Bel Paese, George Joseph, has done a complete redesign of the space and menu. Chef George felt the restaurant needed more ambiance, and after some work he now feels that the space conveys the cozy and relaxing atmosphere he was looking for. He also now has the opportunity to host bigger parties, and many Sundays the space is rented out for parties. George also modified the menu, adding specials such as Branzini, Osso Bucco, and Stuffed Artichoke, as well as the option for diners to select a Family Style dinner. Customers can finish with George’s specialty dessert, homemade Tiramisu.
Chef George grew up in America, but a passion for travel led him to London, Italy, and Australia. He grew his culinary skills in each of those locations before returning to America 12 years ago. George’s specialty is homemade pasta, and the top seller at Trattoria Bel Paese is his Lobster Ravioli. He also takes pride in the restaurant’s Osso Bucco, made with grass-fed meat. The restaurant has also made a name for itself with its cooking classes, so popular that they often fill up a month in advance. George uses the cooking classes to teach students Italian cooking techniques to help them create some of their favorite dishes at home.
George wants people to feel welcome at his restaurant, and to that end he’s accommodating to gluten-free and vegetarian diners. The restaurant also has new specials every week. Trattoria Bel Paese is a place where both families and couples can dine comfortably. The new decor and atmosphere elevates this unassuming Italian restaurant to the next level.
