If you’re looking to cool off this summer, then can we recommend a stop at the newest downtown business, Jungle Juice? The juice shop, owned by Diana Kwok, fills part of the space that was formerly occupied by Hynes Jewelers. Jungle Juice was originally started by Diana’s son, who was a personal trainer and recognized the need for healthy food options. Jungle Juice first opened in Morristown in 2010, then expanded into Madison in 2014 and Cranford in 2017. The owners chose Cranford based in large part on the walkability of the town as well as the community support. They also realized an extra benefit of their location when CrossFit KOA members stopped by recently after an intense workout and ordered a variety of juices and smoothies.
Jungle Juice serves a variety of beverages including Fruit Smoothies, Vegetable Juices, Milkshakes, Green Smoothies, Trainer Specials, and Wheatgrass shots. The business has also recently started selling Bowls which have a base of Acai or Pitaya, and are topped with fruit, granola, and coconut. When asked what the most popular menu items are, Diana says that the Mango Madness and Amazon smoothies have a lot of fans, as does the Mean Green juice. Children also love to come in and have a fruit smoothie or milkshake (the Oreo Blast is a big hit).
Repeat customers are a constant at Jungle Juice. Many people stop in multiple times a week for a wheatgrass shot, juice or smoothie. Jungle Juice’s busiest time normally starts in the early afternoon with people choosing one of their smoothies or bowls as a healthy lunch option. Jungle Juice also offers customers a punch card for a free smoothie after purchasing 10. The business is open 7 days a week and has a blackboard that lists weekly specials. So whether you’re craving a fresh squeezed juice, healthy smoothie, or a creamy and refreshing milkshake, Jungle Juice is one more delicious option downtown.
