You may have noticed that the Downtown Cranford office recently updated its logo. The DMC Board, an advisory board made up of 3 downtown property owners, 3 downtown business owners, 4 Cranford residents, and 1 Township Commissioner, made the decision in 2019 that the logo was in need of an update.

The DMC Board met with a local graphic designer and collaborated on different ideas. The graphic designer researched Cranford’s history and came across an original Cranford map that displayed a blackletter calligraphic “C.” The designer saw the opportunity to evolve that “C” by putting it with “Downtown Cranford” in a more modern font. In her words, “The design is shaped by the town’s authenticity and rich history.”

The colors chosen for the logo were seen by the DMC Board as being timeless. There was an effort to insure that the colors didn’t conflict or compete with the traditional blue and gold of the Cranford schools.
